Elsevier in collaboration with Arnhem Mode Biënnale published a magnificent fashion magazine highlighting fashion designers and the 2009 Biennial SHAPE theme. The magazine is published with three different covers and contains interviews with the world's leading fashion designers like the American Rodarte sisters and avant-garde Rick Owens. Proenza Schouler, Raf Simons (designer for Jil Sander), Klavers van Engelen and the revolutionary menswear designer Thom Browne talked about shape in fashion.

Contributors to the Arnhem Mode Biënnale Magazine are national and international fashion journalists like Vogue's Laird Borrelli, New York Times' Cathy Horyn, Diane Pernet of ashadedviewonfashion.com, Fantastic Man's Gert Jonkers and Elsevier's John de Greef.

Art critic Hans den Hertog Jager elaborated on Maison Martin Margiela's work. Taking SHAPE as their basis, Freudenthal/ Verhagen did a remarkable photo shoot. Sabrina Bongiovanni took photographs of accessories and Barrie Hullegie made the cover of the magazine. Design by Edwin van Gelder (Mainstudio) and Karen van de Kraats. General editorship was conducted by Georgette Koning.
