Arnhem Mode Biënnale Foundation
The Arnhem Mode Biënnale Foundation is the organisation behind the Arnhem Mode Biënnale. The foundation was established in 2003 and its board subsequently appointed a project team, including fashion illustrator Piet Paris as the event’s Artistic Director.
Taking ‘Fashion is everywhere’ as its theme, the inaugural biennale focused on dressing-up occasions and sensual experiences. Two years later the theme was ‘Happy’, with emotion, cheerfulness and decoration taking centre stage. In 2009 everything revolves around SHAPE, form, the very essence of fashion.
